'The Bordeaux-LFBU-73' 73" Cast Iron Chariot Tub with a Burnished Brass Exterior plus Drain

Product Details

A simply superb Chariot tub finished in Living Finish Brass Exterior. Our inspiration to manufacture this gorgeous bathtub came from an original Chariot tub produced by the French company Rogeat in Lyon, France around 1850.
We take the tub as it comes from the mold and treat it to present the appearance of being dipped in pure, thick molten metal. This is not a painted or faux finish, it is actual metal, all the finish markings are natural from the mold. We apply and bond several coats of pure, thick brass before randomly hand brushing to achieve the beautiful living finish, leaving some of the original mold marks on the tub.
A fabulous deep bathtub that will be the absolute centerpiece of any luxurious spa retreat bathroom.

Finishing
This is our fabulous Living Finish Brass version of our 73" Chariot tub. This tub has a pure brass coated and randomly brushed exterior; it has a thick cast iron center and a high gloss, high grade enameled interior. While we apply a protective clear beeswax to the tub exterior before shipping, the brass will naturally tarnish over time. Further applications of beeswax will slow any patina.
