'The Balmoral' Cast Iron Double Ended Clawfoot Bathtub with a Hand Applied Faux Gold Leaf Exterior plus Feet in Poured Gold Effect

Product Details
The Balmoral is a simply gorgeous double ended bath tub with the exterior hand finished in faux gold leaf. Each 6" x 6" piece of gold leaf is painstakingly attached to the tub exterior before we apply three layers of protective clear lacquer. Like all gold leaf surfaces, the faint joint lines of the actual leaf can be seen, sometimes very faint, sometimes a little more obvious. To increase the character of the piece, some crinkle lines will also be visible, giving a slightly aged appearance.

Finishing
After initial priming and painting in a yellow oxide, using a specially produced compound, we attach 6" x 6" faux gold leafs to cover the entire surface of the tub exterior. To protect the finish, we apply three coats of high grade clear lacquer. The surface is very simple to maintain and clean, just a simple wipe with a dry cloth. The interior of the tub is hand applied enamel. As a result, slight undulations will appear on the surface and this will add to the individual character of every Penhaglion Hand Finished bathtub.
