This is our fabulous 59” Eggshell Black version with Satin Black sheen feet. We use a high-grade automotive spray paint system for the exterior of our painted bathtubs. As a first step, we smooth the exterior cast iron surface of the bathtub. From there, we apply two coats of high grade epoxy primer that is then ready to accept four layers of automobile grade single stage paint. The final two coats are specifically prepared to achieve either an eggshell or high gloss lacquer finish to match the client’s personal choice. As a final step, we wet sand and polish to produce a flawless exterior. The finish is both beautiful and simple to maintain.

Our 59” long version of this beautiful Chariot style clawfoot bathtub was inspired by the original Chariot tubs manufactured by Rogeat in Lyon, France around the 1850’s. The original was a little narrow for modern bathing expectations and we make ours a little wider. The additional width does not deflect from the beauty of the original piece. For most single bathers, the 59” version is amply sized inside.
