A simply superb Chariot freestanding tub finished in Pure-Metal Polished Bronze Exterior. Our inspiration to manufacture this gorgeous bathtub came from an original Chariot tub produced by the French company Rogeat in Lyon, France around 1850.

We take the tub as it comes from the mold and treat it to present the appearance of being dipped in pure, thick molten metal. This is not a painted or faux finish, it is actual metal, all the finish markings are natural from the mold. We apply and bond several coats of pure, thick bronze before hand polishing to a beautiful mirror finish, leaving the original mold marks on the tub. A fabulous deep bathtub that will be the absolute centerpiece of any luxurious spa retreat bathroom.

Finishing
This tub features a pure bronze coated, hand polished exterior paired with a thick cast iron core and a high gloss, high grade enameled interior. Although we apply a protective clear beeswax finish before shipping, the bronze may naturally develop a subtle patina over time. Thanks to the quality of bronze we use, this patina typically appears in warm browns, golds, and deeper umber tones. Additional applications of beeswax can slow the patina process, and any unwanted patina can be removed easily with a soft cloth and a gentle polish. We recommend Mothers polish.
The bronze is applied to the tub exterior as it exits the mold portraying natural, interesting and unique mold markings which truly enhance the beauty of the tub.
To maintain the shiny finish, a simple wipe with a soft cloth and some Mothers polish will remove any marks or stains.
