Finishing
This is our Polished Zinc version. The cast iron tub is left in its original form as it exits the mold and cleaned of any excess iron scale. We then finish the inside of the tub with thick, bright white enamel before completing the exterior. Onto the raw iron exterior, we apply twelve layers of pure molten zinc.
While still retaining many original cast marks, the zinc is an almost mirror silver raw living finish that may tarnish or darken very slightly over the years. It is very simple to maintain and a wipe with a soft cloth and some soapy water will remove most marks. For more stubborn stains, a soft cloth with some Mothers polish will remove these easily.
