'The Calais' 68" Cast Iron French Bateau Clawfoot Tub with a Mirror Polished Zinc Exterior with Drain

Product Details

A delightfully presented French Bateau clawfoot tub, suitable for both a vintage and contemporary home. It has good depth to the overflow and a quite roomy interior.
Complimented by the wonderful Medici cast iron claw feet, this bathtub offers exceptional value and will be the centerpiece of any beautiful bathroom.
Ideal for one larger bather or perhaps even two small to medium sized bathers.
Finishing
This is our Mirror Polished Zinc version. The cast iron tub is left in its original form as it exits the mold and cleaned of any excess iron scale. We then finish the inside of the tub with thick, bright white enamel before completing the exterior. Onto the raw iron exterior, we apply twelve layers of pure molten zinc.
While still retaining many original cast marks, the zinc is an almost mirror silver raw living finish that may tarnish or darken very slightly over the years. It is very simple to maintain and a wipe with a soft cloth and some soapy water will remove most marks. For more stubborn stains, a soft cloth with some Mothers polish will remove these easily.
