Product Details

A stunning, sleek double slipper cast iron bathtub with a lacquered brushed brass exterior.
The 'Sibton-73' is a fabulous 73” long double slipper clawfoot bathtub. This tub offers fabulous design with a very traditional shape. While not a modern tub, can certainly be placed in a more contemporary bathroom for an interesting contrast. Nice bathing space inside, suitable for one taller or perhaps even two medium sized bathers.

Finishing
This is our fabulous Brushed Brass version of our 73" double slipper. We take the tub as it comes from the mold and treat it to present the appearance of being dipped in pure, thick molten metal. This is not a painted or faux finish, it is actual metal, all the finish markings are natural from the mold. We apply and bond several coats of pure, thick brass before randomly hand brushing to achieve the beautiful living finish, leaving some of the original mold marks on the tub.

To maintain the interior and exterior, a simple wipe with a soft soapy cloth will remove any marks or stains. Should abnormally heavy staining occur on the enamel, we suggest a Mr Clean Magic Eraser. While we apply a protective clear beeswax to the tub exterior before shipping, the brass will naturally tarnish over time. Further applications of beeswax will slow any patina.
